Reminder to you
Before anyone else hears anything, you get a gentle nudge. Check in here and it all resets. Most missed check-ins end right here.
Push to your people
If you stay quiet, the contacts you chose get a push notification on their phone, in the order you set.
Then an SMS
A text follows the push, so the message lands even if a push is missed or a phone is on silent.
Then a phone call
An automated call goes out to your contact, the channel that is hardest to miss, so a real person knows to act.
Contacts notified
Your people now know you went quiet and roughly when, so they can ring you, come around, or call 000 if needed.
Documents released
Optional. If you set it up, pre-arranged information is shared with your contacts, only ever if you go quiet.
You set the timing between steps, and the whole ladder stops instantly the moment you check in.
The stack underneath
Built on infrastructure that already runs live.
Safe Check-In is not a wrapper around someone else's app. The escalation runs on a self-hosted stack on Alien IT Solutions' own server, the same one already sending live contact-sensor phone alerts today.
n8n runs the logic
Every escalation is a real workflow in n8n. The order of push, SMS and call is fixed in the automation, not left to a phone that might be asleep.
ntfy delivers the push
Push alerts ride on self-hosted ntfy, the same open notification service we already trust for live alerts, so we can see and control delivery.
LoRa reaches further
For places phones and wifi do not reach, optional LoRa and LoRaWAN long-range sensors can carry a check-in over kilometres, the same kit running our door alerts.
